$BRCK
Prism's “soulbound" $BRCK tokens are non-fungible, non-transferrable tokens unique to each user.
- Soulbound tokens were first proposed by Ethereum creator, Vitalik Buterin, in 2022.
- Web3 has focused on transferrable, financialized assets, but there exist persistent non-transferrable relationships that underlie these transactions
- “Soulbound” tokens (SBTs) represent the commitments, credentials, and affiliations of “Souls” which encode the trust networks of the real economy to establish provenance and reputation.
- When applied to DAOs, SBTs enable assigning voting power voting power based on users' interactions with the community. Such a system can reward the most dedicated users with a strong reputation as oppposed to users who have amassed large stockpiles of tokens.
- This system can also prevent sybil attacks
$BRCK tokens will be minted for each job completed and reviewed via Prism. This will build on-chain provenance around user’s careers focused on trust and reputation. The latter differentiates Prism’s $BRCK token from other professional soulbound token concepts, which focus on “credentialing," not on the quality of contribution. We envision that $BRCK tokens could even be minted alongside other off-platform soulbound credentialing tokens to provide a complementary qualitative/reputational data layer.
